Pain Control Clinic in Rancho Santa Fe, CA

Pain that lingers changes how you sleep, work and train. We start with a full exam, then choose needle-free tools that fit what we find.

The center

The pain control clinic at True Performance in Rancho Santa Fe offers conservative, needle-free care for chronic and recent pain in muscles, joints and nerves. Every plan starts with an exam of how the pain behaves and how you move. Near-infrared light and PEMF therapy are then paired with chiropractic care and exercise, and adjusted as you respond.

Some pain starts with a strain last week. Some has shaped your routine for years. We look at what sets it off, what eases it and what you want to get back to.

Pain care is one part of our Rancho Santa Fe clinic for sport, recovery and rehab, so one exam can lead to one plan.

PEMF Therapy

PEMF, short for pulsed electromagnetic field, therapy sends brief pulses through an applicator placed near the sore area. There are no needles and nothing presses on you, so it can reach a spot that is too sore for hands-on work.

Your exam sets where it goes and what it is for. See what happens during a PEMF session.

How it works

How care works here

  1. We examine before we start

Your first visit is about 90 minutes, plus data and history gathering. We check movement, joint and muscle function, and what sets the pain off.

  2. The findings choose the tools

Light, PEMF, adjustments and exercise each have a job. The exam decides which ones you need and in what order.

  3. We track your response

At each visit we ask what changed. If a tool is not helping, we change the plan or drop it.

Why choose True Performance

Dr. Jeff McWhorter, D.C., a chiropractor, plans pain care around how you move, train and work, not around one sore spot. Light and PEMF sessions sit next to chiropractic care, rehab exercise and nerve-focused care under one roof.

We coordinate with your physician when pain needs imaging or medical care first. To see everything else we do, start with the full picture of our Rancho Santa Fe practice.

Questions

Questions about the pain control clinic

Ask us: (858) 285-0073

Do I need a referral to start pain care?

No referral is needed to book an evaluation. Bring any recent imaging, reports or notes from other providers, because they show us what you have already tried.

Which pain treatment is right for me?

Your exam decides. Light therapy often suits sore tissue and stiffness, PEMF suits areas too sore for hands-on work, and many plans combine them with chiropractic care and exercise.

Do you use pain medication or injections?

No. Care in this clinic is conservative and needle-free. Pain medication and procedures stay with your physician, and we coordinate with them.

Is it worth coming in if my pain started years ago?

Yes, long-standing pain is still worth an exam. It often needs a slower plan with more movement work, and we set expectations once we see how the pain behaves.

How much does pain care cost?

Cost depends on your exam findings, how many sessions your plan needs and which services it combines. We explain it on your complimentary intro call, before you commit.
