Chiropractor in Rancho Santa Fe, CA

A stiff neck, a sore back or a shoulder that will not reach can change how you work, sleep and train. We find the joints that are not moving well, then adjust only those.

Practitioner's hands steadying a patient's bent knee on a treatment table

Chiropractic care at True Performance in Rancho Santa Fe means hands-on adjustments for joints that have stopped moving well, in the spine, arms and legs. Every plan starts with an exam of posture, joint motion and nerve function. Dr. Jeff McWhorter, D.C., a chiropractor whose practice focuses on functional neurology, leads care that can sit alongside rehab or performance work.

Most visits focus on the neck, mid-back and low back. Some add a shoulder, hip, knee or ankle that is holding you back.

Chiropractic care is one part of a sports medicine clinic that pairs spinal care with brain rehab, so one exam can cover both.

How it works

How care works here

  1. We examine before we adjust

Your first visit is about 90 minutes, plus data and history gathering. We check posture, spinal and joint motion, strength, reflexes and any past imaging.

  2. Only the joints that need it

The exam decides which joints to treat and which technique suits each one. Nothing is adjusted by routine.

  3. We re-check every visit

We re-test how the area moves and update the plan. If you are not improving, we change the approach or refer you for another opinion.

A chiropractic visit should include a health history, an exam and tests before any treatment, as the federal guide to chiropractic care describes.

Questions

Questions about the chiropractor

Ask us: (858) 285-0073

Do I need a referral from my doctor?

You can book the complimentary intro call yourself. If another clinician is treating the same problem, bring your records, and we coordinate with them.

Do you only adjust the spine?

No. Most visits focus on the spine, but we also adjust shoulders, hips, knees, elbows, wrists and ankles when they limit how you move.

Can a chiropractor help with sciatica or a pinched nerve?

Sometimes. When low-back mechanics add to leg pain or nerve irritation, adjustments can be part of a wider plan. Similar symptoms can have other causes, so the exam comes first, and we refer you when another evaluation fits better.

Is chiropractic care an option during pregnancy?

It can be, depending on your health history, stage of pregnancy and symptoms. Tell us you are pregnant when you book, and check with your prenatal provider before care begins.

How much does chiropractic care cost?

Cost depends on your exam findings, how many visits your plan needs and whether adjustments are paired with other services. We explain it on your complimentary intro call, before you commit.
